Affiliate disclosure
The short version: we may earn a commission if you buy through some of our links, at no extra cost to you. When we do, the link is labeled. Commissions never change which filters we say fit your fridge or what we say about their certification.
Current status
As of the date above, Certified Filter Fit has no affiliate relationships and no affiliate links. The "where to buy" boxes link straight to the manufacturer's own product page. Those links are not affiliate links, and we earn nothing from them.
If we add affiliate links
We plan to add retailer affiliate links later, which may include the Amazon Associates program. If we do:
- Every page with an affiliate link will show a disclosure near the top, before the first link, not just in the footer.
- Affiliate links will be labeled in the "where to buy" box and tagged
rel="sponsored". - If we join Amazon Associates, we'll include the statement Amazon requires: "As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases."
- This page will list the programs we take part in.
What commissions will never change
- Fit: we only list fridge models a manufacturer source names. A commission can't add a model to a list.
- Certification: we report what the certifier's public listing says, including when a cheaper filter is listed for fewer standards than the genuine one, or isn't listed at all.
- No fake reviews or ratings. We don't publish star ratings or testimonials, and we don't accept payment for placement.
This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission's guidance that material connections, such as affiliate commissions, must be disclosed clearly and close to the recommendation.
